Economic Roots Initiative (ERI): Reducing Irregular Migration through Local Empowerment
This initiative targets the root causes of irregular migration to the UK by investing directly in high-migration communities. Instead of reacting to border crossings, we act early-funding local job creation, skills training, small business support, and community development. For less than the £5,000–£10,000 migrants pay smugglers, we offer real alternatives at home. The UK saves on enforcement, boosts global influence, and builds lasting economic ties.
- Date: September 2024 - till now
- Impact: Fewer illegal crossings, Direct savings on border enforcement and asylum backlogs
